UNCW Hawk Tale Player of the Week: Jenna Smith
Jenna is a Senior at UNCW earning her degree in Communication Studies with a focus in marketing. She is from a small town called Ammon, NC where she grew up on a blueberry farm. Jenna has always enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle. Hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, horseback riding, kayaking, hiking and anything that involves the outdoors is where you will find Jenna in her free time. She loves spending time with her two dogs and has an obsession for whales, especially Beluga whales (as pictured with Aurek, the Beluga Whale). She has currently become a volunteer at the Good Shepard Center and is in the process of becoming a “Big Buddy” to an at-risk child. The Big Buddy Program is located downtown Wilmington and is always looking for volunteers. Every Tuesday night Jenna enjoys going to Port City Community Church with her friends for college worship. She plans to finish school in the fall with two internships and graduate in December. Her experience at UNCW has been and continues to be spectacular. One of her greatest achievements was joining the UNCW Storytellers, fall 2016, where she could interact with children and give them a story to laugh about and enjoy. She is now a UNCW Hawk Tale Player and is excited to bring her own story to life and looks forward to spending time with the kids.
