HAWK TALE PLAYERS

The Hawk Tale Players began in Spring of 2013. These performers transform personal interviews with local residents into interactive one-person shows to promote the importance of listening to and valuing the experiences of others and to foster a love for storytelling in daily life and on the stage.

The Hawk Tale Players create 5-8 minute interactive monologues to perform for grades 2-6. Student performers rotate through 2nd-6th grade classrooms for up to 60 minutes between 12:30-2:30 on Wednesdays. While the Hawk Tale Players are open to performing for any group, we prioritize Title 1 schools in our performance groups. All performers are enrolled in Com 413 and manage the website, video recording, and social media sites in addition to performing with the troupe
